Trick-or-Treat

Pawsome Stamps | Hauntingly Sweet
08/17/2022

Hi everyone!

It’s release day at Pawsome Stamps and I’m super excited to share this adorable little costumed candy corn with you! This little guy and all his friends are just so sweet (see what I did there?) I couldn’t wait to create with them!

For this card, I kept things pretty simple. I masked off a rectangle on my card front and ink-blended a soft orange background that was lighter in the middle and darker on the edges. I then splattered it with diluted white and black acrylic paint. While the background was drying, I stamped my little bat candy corn with Copic-friendly ink and then colored him in with my Copic markers. I cut him out with the coordinating dies for this set.
I heat embossed my sentiment and, when the background was dry, I popped the sentiment and the bat up with foam adhesive. This is a super simple card and would be really easy to mass produce if you needed to make a bunch!
Let me know in the comments what you think of this card! Thank you for stopping by my blog today! Have a wonderfully creative day!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
