Pawsome Stamps | Witches Lair and Witches Lair Add-On
08/26/2022

Hi everyone!

It’s Instagram Hop day today for the Pawsome Stamps new Spooktacular August Release!  Be sure to head over to my Instagram and hop along with us!

If you got here from the hop:  Thank you so much for stopping by!

If you’ve been here before:  Welcome back!

For my part of the hop, I’m sharing a super fun card with you that I created using the Witches Lair and Witches Lair Add-on sets, along with their coordinating dies.

I’ve been in the mood for Distress Oxide ink-blended backgrounds lately (there’s even more coming)! I don’t know why, but I think they are so fun for making Halloween cards.

For this card, I used an arch die and created my own mask out of Masking Magic. I also created a mask for the moon. I adhered the Masking Magic on my card front, making sure to leave room for a sentiment at the bottom. I then ink-blended a spooky green sky. I then splattered it with some diluted white acrylic paint.

Once the paint was dry, I removed the Masking Magic from the moon and ink-blended it using Twisted Citron Distress Ink to give it a glowy-greenish yellow color. I then removed the Masking Magic from the rest of the panel.

I stamped the witch and cauldron images using Copic-friendly ink, colored them in with my Copic markers, and then die cut them with the coordinating dies.

For the bubbly cauldron, I stamped the bubbles on vellum using Versamark and heat embossed it before cutting them out with the die and adhering them to the back side of the cauldron.

Before I assembled everything, I stamped and heat-embossed the spider and the sentiment. The spider’s web string wasn’t quite as long as I wanted so I extended it with my Copic Multi-Liner pen so that it extended up and off the panel.

I then popped the witch and the cauldron up with some foam adhesive, attached the completed panel to the card front, and added a few of the sequins from the Witches Brew sequin mix.

I think this little witch and her spider are just so darn cute!

I hope you enjoyed this project and I appreciate you taking the time to stop by my blog today!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
