Simon Says Stamp | Cozy Hugs Release
10/06/2022

Hi everyone!

I can’t believe we are heading into Fall already! Here in Southern Wisconsin, a few of the trees are already changing colors and the nights are getting cooler. It’s definitely getting to be sweater weather!

To celebrate the new Simon Says Stamp “Cozy Hugs” release today, I’m sharing this cute card made with the new “Turkey Day” stamp set. This set makes me laugh out loud every time I look at it! The turkeys are super cute and the sentiments are so funny!

I kept this card clean and simple so that the funny sentiment would shine. I masked off the left portion of the card front and lightly ink-blended the right side in blue.

About 2/3 of the way down the right side, I popped up my sentiment with a bit of die cut grass – just to ground the turkey and create a small scene.

I stamped my images using Copic-friendly ink, then fussy cut them out (my dies hadn’t arrived yet when I was making this card, but I’ve linked to them below in case you prefer the dies like I do). Once cut, I nestled them onto my card front and added a few die-cut clouds and clear gems to complete the card.

I hope this project made you smile like it did me! Be sure to head over to the Simon Says Stamp shop and check out all the amazing products in the new “Cozy Hugs” release – plus, there’s lots of great inspiration over there too!

Have a wonderfully creative day, everyone!

This card is absolutely adorable. Perfect for my daughter in law who is a strict vegeterian!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
