Spooky Wishes

Simon Says Stamp | Sweet Wishes Release
10/10/2024

Hi there!

It’s release day over at Simon Says Stamp and I’m kicking things off with this fun Halloween card I created using the new Delightful Ghost die.  I love all of things cute-spooky for Halloween and this sweet, simple little ghost is exactly that!

To make this card, I die cut the ghost and then masked him off before stamping the haunted house and coloring it with my Copic markers.  I then masked the house and ink blended the panel.

I added a few splatters to the panel before removing the masks.

I then added some black cardstock behind the ghosts eyes and filled in the areas with some glaze.

I ink blended a panel for the moon and layered it behind the ghost.  I used a foam adhesive square behind the ghost to pop him up and out from the moon.

I trimmed the panel by ¼ of an inch on all sides and added a sentiment with foam tape before adding it to a card front.

Have a wonderfully creative day, everyone!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
