Today, I’m featuring the newly released – and absolutely stunning – Amaryllis Etched Die set that is part of the Susan’s Holiday Flora Collection at Spellbinders. This set is one of many designed by Susan Tierney-Cockburn and it is perfect for the Holidays – or for anytime you just want some perfectly beautiful blooms.
I have two clean and simple cards to share with you today using the Amaryllis dies. I was so pleasantly surprised by how easy the flowers were to assemble and how stunning they turned out. I followed Susan’s instructions for the flowers and the leaves – which were so clear and easy to follow. I found myself oohing and aahing after every step as the flowers came together.
For my first card, I went with the traditional, and easily recognized, red amaryllis. I have always loved how stunning these dark red blooms look at Christmastime.
Amaryllises can come in many shades of white, pink, red, and even a bit of yellow or orange – and they can bloom anytime from December through March – so for my second card, I decided to go with deep pink blooms that I could use even after the holiday season. Plus, I just love this rich shade of pink and I get the added bonus of being able to stretch my dies for more than one occasion.

What kind of paper did you use? Doesn’t look like cardstock.
It is Susan’s Garden card stock (link to the exact product is in the supply list). You can use any card stock, but I prefer the Susan’s Garden card stock because it has a bit of texture to it. Hope that helps!
