Hi everyone!
Nothing says “hello” like dogwood blossoms in the springtime, right?
For today’s card I used bright spring-like colors to make gorgeous dogwood blossoms using the new Dogwood die set that is part of Susan’s Garden Favorites @teamspellbinders. This collection is filled with amazing flower dies – so be sure to check them out – and stay tuned because I’ll have another project coming from this collection in the next week!
For this card, I started by cutting the flowers, leaves, and branch out of Susan’s Garden Specialty Cardstock. I used Distress ink to blend the colors on the flower petals, flower centers, and the leaves. I used Copic markers for the branch and to get a tiny bit of darkness at the tips of the petals (where they dip in).
I shaped the flowers and assembled them, then arranged them on a piece of white cardstock I had cut with a deckled edge die.
I mounted the panel on my card front and added the “Hello” sentiment (cut from back card stock). For a bit of sparkle, I added a few sequins.
I just love the clean and simple look of this card with the bright pink and green of the dogwood.
Happy Valentine’s Day and I hope you have a wonderfully creative day!
