Some Bunny Special

03/03/2022

Hi everyone!

As you’ve probably already figured out, I am [very] impatiently waiting for spring! A friend told me she saw a robin yesterday – which is a pretty reliable harbinger for spring in Wisconsin. It made my heart do a tiny little flip in anticipation even though my head knows full well that winter is far from over.

I was dreaming of spring when Simon Says Stamp came out with their Hoppy Days Ahead card kit. The little bunnies in the stamp set (part of the kit) spoke to me. I think bunnies are a quintessential symbol of spring and I was so excited to create a card with them.

So, with that, today’s card features two little bunnies in love with a carrot backdrop. How perfect is that? I even put little fuzzy cotton tails on them for full effect! 😊 I made this card by heat embossing the images in white and then “painting” with Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Inks. I think the subtle colors I used add to the sweetness of the card.
I hope you like project! Be sure to check out the Hoppy Days Ahead card kit – there was so much great stuff in the kit and this card barely scratched the surface. It’s an incredible value and is super versatile! You could even get a head start on your Easter cards . Hope you have a wonderfully creative day!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
