Hi everyone!
I absolutely love to read. And here’s a fun (and unusual) fact about me: I am a speed-reader. I read a book every night before bed. Yes, a full book, cover-to-cover. I have been doing this since my last year of high school when I took a speed-reading class to prep for college.
Shortly after I got married, my husband and I went on a week-long vacation. I decided to take along something to read so I packed an entire carry-on luggage full of books. I read all of them and even had to buy another book at the airport, so I’d have something to read on the plane ride home.
After that, my husband decided I needed an e-reader and bought me a Kindle. I haven’t looked back.
Being a voracious reader and an avid booklover means that I get excited whenever I see fun crafty products that have anything to do with books – so this month’s Spellbinders’ Stamp and Die of the Month Club made me smile from ear to ear! The three little gnomes in this set are adorable – and when you give them each a book? Over-the-top cuteness!
Since today is the 6th of the month, the March Spellbinders Clubs are released to non-members! This means that if you love these little reading gnomes as much as I do, you can become a club member and get them now (while supplies last, of course). Here is a bit more information about the Clubs, in case you’re interested:
I had so much fun coloring these gnomes! When I started out, I wasn’t sure which gnome I liked the best but I ended up falling in love with all 3 of them and decided to make a trio of cards and also feature the sentiments that come in the set.
My first card is a shaker card featuring the coffee-drinking gnome.
For my second card, I used the star I die cut from the first card and added the gnome that’s sitting on the stack of books.
And my last card is clean and simple, but in the same color palette as the first two.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope you enjoyed these cards and that they inspire you to create something fun! Or maybe go grab a book?
Have a wonderfully creative day!
