Simon Says Stamp "Let's Chill" Release
07/01/2022

Hi everyone!

OMGosh! The day is finally here and I can share that I’m part of the @PawsomeStamps design team! I am so excited to be part of this amazingly talented team!

To celebrate, I created these two adorable fish cards using the “Birthday Fishes” stamp and dies from Pawsome Stamps’ current release. The fish in this set are adorable!

I colored all the fish on these cards with my Copic markers and then had fun playing around with different backgrounds to showcase them.

For my first card, I used the Pawsome Stamps “Rays of Sunshine” stencil and some Distress Oxide inks to create a sunlight effect through the water. I then added a frame to highlight the scene and created a banner for one of the sentiments in the set. I rarely make backgrounds like this but I am so happy with how this turned out – I guess I’ll have to try a few more!

For my second card, I decided to create a shaker using the Pawsome Stamps sequin mixes. I ink-blended the background for my scene using Distress Oxide inks, found a fun shape for the shaker frame, and then added my fish and a sentiment from the set.

I had so much fun creating these cards and I’m super excited to share even more designs using the wonderful products from Pawsome Stamps! I hope you’ll check out their site and also take a peek at what the other Designers are creating! I am confident you’ll find a ton of inspiration!

Have a wonderfully creative day, everyone!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
