Simon Says Stamp | Dream Big
08/04/2022

Hi there!

Recently, I’ve been having a lot of fun with the Simon Says Stamp “Big and Bold” stamp set and the “Flower Bundle” die. The “Big and Bold” stamp is part of the new “Dream Big” release, but the flower bundle came out a while back. I used both of these recently on this card…but I couldn’t resist making something else! Sometimes I just get into a groove and have to keep going until it’s all played out. I’m pretty happy with where I landed on this card, and I really hope you like it.

I started out by ink spraying several pieces of watercolor cardstock with different color ink sprays (see list of supplies below).

Once they were dry, I die cut the flowers and leaves. I also die cut a few leaves from vellum.

I arranged all the pieces around a panel that had a circle cut out of the center, making sure to leave enough room when I placed the pieces so that I wouldn’t cover up the sentiment.

I stamped the sentiment on a separate panel, then used a corner-rounder to die cut all my panels. I popped the wreath panel up using foam adhesive to add a bit more depth.

To finish the card, I added in a few iridescent pearls for the flower centers and tied some twine around the top.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today!

Have a wonderfully creative day, everyone!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
