Heart Melt

Simon Says Stamp | Sweet Wishes Release
10/22/2024

Hi there!

I couldn’t resist making another card with the adorable Warm Heart stamp set from Simon Says Stamp (you can find the other card I made here).  The penguin and snowman images in this set are so cute – and they are perfect for coloring.

I chose to do this card using a no-line coloring technique and my Copic markers.  I love how soft the images look with this technique, and I think it perfectly complements the winter scene and the sentiment.

To make this card, I stamped the image using a no-line ink (see supplies below) and then colored it with my Copics.  I then masked off the image and a snowbank before ink blending a halo of sky around the image and splattering in with white to look like snow was falling.

I removed all of the masks, trimmed the card ¼ of an inch on each side, and added a sentiment and a few gems before popping the panel up on a card front using foam adhesive.

Thank you all so much for stopping by my blog today!

Have a wonderfully creative day, everyone!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
