Floral Frame on an Acetate Card Base

Hi there!

I’m popping in quick today to share this pretty card I made using the new acetate card bases from Simon Says Stamp and the Morning Garden Floral Frame dies.

The Morning Garden Floral Frame die set includes the frame and matting pieces for the flowers, along with a separate die to make the flowers 3 dimensional.

For my card, I decided to color the die cuts with my Copic Markers and then place the frame over an acetate card base for even more dimension.  I think it turned out so cool!

I used Stazon ink to add a sentiment to the acetate front, and slipped a mini card on the inside.  I even added a few gems for even more shine!

One thing to be aware of is that when you adhere your frame to acetate, you can see the tape/glue on the back side.  If this bothers you (like it does me!), you can simply cut another frame and line it up on the other side to “sandwich” the acetate between them.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today!

Have a wonderfully creative day, everyone!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
