Easter Greetings

Simon Says Stamp | Favorite Things Release
03/03/2025

Hi there!

Today, I’m sharing a bright and cheerful Easter card featuring products from the latest Simon Says Stamp “Favorite Things” release! I love creating spring-inspired designs, and this little chick with colorful eggs was the perfect way to celebrate the season.

Design Highlights

🐣 Copic Coloring – I used Copic markers to bring the Easter eggs, chick, and flowers to life. The vibrant colors and shading add depth and a playful touch to the scene.

🔵 Basic Shapes – Circles Die Set – To create a dimensional look, I used the new Basic Shapes – Circles die set to cut out an opening that adds extra depth.

☁️ Soft Ink Blended Background – Behind the eggs and within the circle opening, I blended soft blue ink to create a subtle sky effect, making the colors pop even more.

🌸 Finishing Touches – A few of Simon’s new Pastel Ice sequin embellishments, including tiny gems and white gel accents, give the card a little sparkle and extra dimension. The sentiment “Easter Greetings!” ties everything together for a sweet seasonal touch.

I love how this card turned out—it’s bright, happy, and perfect for Easter! Have you started making your spring cards yet? Let me know in the comments!

Have a wonderfully creative day, everyone!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
