I Am Here For You

01/10/2021

Hi there!

I was able to take a few days off over the holiday, which means I got to spend more time in my studio.  Today I decided to try out one of the beautiful new layering stencils from Pink Fresh Studios – the Seamless Floral Pattern!

Pinky-coral colors have been speaking my name lately so I decided that this would be the perfect place to play with them.

I used my Taylored Expressions blender brushes with my Catherine Pooler inks to blend the colors through each of the five layers of the stencil to create my background.  I love how these colors look together and I’m amazed at how easy it was to create this beautiful pattern just using stencils!

Catherine Pooler Inks:

  • Bellini
  • Coral Cabana
  • Samba
  • Sage
  • Spruce

I added a bit of detail to the top and bottom edges of the floral panel with an old edger punch that was gifted to me years ago.  It added a lacy touch that I thought went perfect with the flowers.

For the sentiment, I used a stamp from the Pink Fresh Studio You Can Change the World set, stamped in Gina K Obsidian Amalgam ink.  I mounted that onto a scrap piece of glitter paper and adhered it to the floral panel a little below center – making sure not to cover up all those gorgeous flowers!

Next, I tied a piece of Fun Stampers Journey Twine around the panel and then popped it up on a piece of Concord & 9th Honeysuckle cardstock using foam tape.  I then adhered the entire panel to a stitched rectangle die and, finally, the card front.

I really love how this card turned out.  The colors are stunning, and the pop of gold adds just the right amount of glam.

Thanks for stopping by!

All the best,

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
