Hi everyone!
I had some quality time in my studio this week and wanted to share this sweet little mini album I created to hold some of my memories from our annual extended family camping trips we had when I was growing up.
I purchased several of the stamps and dies from the newest release at The Rabbit Hole Designs because I knew they’d be perfect for this album. The little squirrel, affectionately named “Tailette”, is so adorable! And the sets are perfect for any type of camping! Since my extended family ran the gamut – some in tents, some in campers, and others in RVs – I wanted all of them for my album.
The design of this album is purely my own, but I do want to say that I watched countless videos and lost several hours of my life combing through Pinterest to figure out the elements I wanted. I’ve done one other album (see my YouTube short video here) so I had a pretty good idea of how to assemble the album itself.
This album measures 4 3/8 x 5 3/8 inches with a 2 ¼ inch binding.
I started by stamping and coloring all of the images with Copic markers. I did a couple of fun alcohol marker effects: For Tailette, I used a terry cloth spritzed with alcohol to get the fur effect, and for the tent, I did the same technique only with a piece of burlap.
I created my pockets and the fold out page and then adhered them to the inside pages before creating my “scenes” with my Copic-colored elements.
Then, I created the cover and attached the binding before attaching the completed inside pages to the binding.
You can watch the video where I do a flip through of each page below – or, you can keep scrolling to see pictures of each page below.

I hope you enjoyed this mini album and that it inspires you to create something fun to preserve some of your own memories!
Have a wonderfully creative day!
Oh my! Tailette is so adorable. I am hopping over to YouTube to see how you made this great adventure book♥
